Treatments for Premature Ejaculation

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Sexual Problem

Premature ejaculation is the worst nightmare for all men. For most men, their sexual performance is one of the most important things in their life. When they have premature ejaculation, not only they will feel so lousy because they cannot satisfy their partner, but also feel so stress. It is very possible that their stress influence their other activities like their job, social life and many others. Some treatments are served to handle this problem.

The first treatment is desensitized cream or spray. Well, actually this treatment is not recommended because many men feel that this treatment is making the premature ejaculation worse. Not only softer penis, but the creamy texture will also disturb the comfort during intercourse. The second treatment is pill. Pills can work effectively, but be very careful when choosing one because not all of the enhancement pills work safely. Third is premature ejaculation exercise. Well, there is no significant result from this treatment and this treatment requires high discipline and time.

Last, but not least is self hypnosis. This method will work on the brain and tell the brain to have better control. Among so many treatments, it is so important to choose the best and most effective one based on individual condition.

What to Know About Genital Warts

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Health, Sexual Problem

One of the scariest things for a sexually active guy is to discover something out of the ordinary on his penis. It can cause a myriad of sadness, anger, and anxiety. There are a lot of questions that can arise and not always a lot of clear cut answers so it’s best to remain calm and look at the situation from a rational standpoint.

One of the things that can be found on the penis is a wart. It is difficult to describe but if you have seen a wart before than you should know that it looks similar on the penis. You have to be mindful of three different things to determine if it’s a wart. Does it itch? Does it burn? Does it bleed? If it does any one of those three things then you know that it is something more severe.

Genital warts are not fun and they are more about the social stigma associated with it then with anything else. Where are some other things to know. You have genital warts and while it can only be contracted through sexual contact it does not in any way shape or form mean you got them from your current partner. Genital warts are a virus and unlike a cold where you get it or you don’t, the genital wart virus, or the HPV virus that it is medically known as, is something you can get at any time and can lay dormant for years.

If you find yourself with genital warts don’t panic. The first, and hardest part, is to be upfront with your partners about what you have. Anyone in the last 2 or 3 years could need to be informed. This is so that they make the decision to go to a doctor and make sure they don’t have the same thing.

Then get yourself to a doctor for treatment. There are creams you can use that should kill the warts in 1 to 3 months. There is a good chance the warts will not reappear again but you should still make sure you are using protection.

Your Bed Could Be Harming Your Sex Life

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Sexual Health, Sexual Life, Sexual Problem

If you’re not sleeping in a comfortable bed, it’s possible that your sex life is suffering, too. While it could be argued that it won’t be enjoyable to make love in a bed that’s not comfortable, that’s not the main issue. The main problem is that a bed that isn’t right for you will keep you from sleeping well. If you don’t sleep well, you’re liable to feel tired and run down through most of the day. When you get a chance to go to bed at night, you just want to sleep. Sexual activity isn’t as interesting to you when you’re already exhausted.

Some people feel as though they’re tired all the time, and they aren’t sure why they feel that way. They don’t realize that their bed is uncomfortable and they just aren’t sleeping well. If they discovered the problem they could easily remedy it, and they’d have a lot more energy throughout the day. By feeling tired a lot, you’re missing out on some of the best things in life – including enjoying sexual activity with your partner. You may want to consider getting a new mattress, or replacing your entire bed, with something that’s more comfortable.

That’s especially important if you’ve had the bed you currently use for a long time. Mattresses and box springs don’t last forever. Even with good warranties, there are times that these items need to be replaced. If the mattress doesn’t get flipped and/or turned properly, it won’t last as long as it’s supposed to – and most people don’t worry about taking things back or trying to contact the company for a warranty on a mattress or box spring. They probably didn’t keep the receipt, so the easiest thing is to replace it. Try that, and see if it doesn’t improve your sleep and your sex life.

Coping with the Killer

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Sexual Health, Sexual Problem

Since ancient times, excessive sexual indulgence and reckless sexual behavior have led to disorders, diseases, and even death. Some of the common sexual and sexually transmitted diseases, or STDs, are gonorrhea, syphilis, herpes, genital warts, and the like. Many of these are treatable and curable over a period of time. Sexual health and ensuring proper sexual behavior may not have been a mainstream issue in times past. At least they didn’t have a huge health cost.

However, since the 1980s sexuality and ensuring proper sexual behavior have bagged the spotlight. The reason for this is the emergence of HIV/AIDS, which has taken epidemic proportions and consumed huge sections of humanity year over year. It’s become such a big deal that global organizations engaged in humanitarian efforts have diverted a huge part of their resources to the mitigation of HIV/AIDS among vulnerable groups, especially in African countries.

Irresponsible sexual behavior has come under the scanner, as it can now have life-threatening impact. The occurrence of HIV in a person doesn’t immediately end life. However, it marks the beginning of a condition of vulnerability. HIV/AIDS is not a reversible disease, and the medical costs are huge. In many cases, people need long-term hospitalization.

Since it is a prolonged condition, a person may even be dealing with the virus when she enters an assisted living facility. The scare of HIV/AIDS can perhaps become a major deterrent against irresponsible sexual behavior and can encourage people to practice safe sex.

Of course, the AIDS virus can transfer from person to person in other ways besides sexual contact, making it even more of a threat. In Africa, pregnant women with HIV can transfer the disease to their unborn babies. Sharing needles is another way it spreads.

Because people can have the disease without knowing it, using condoms during sex and not sharing needles may protect sexually active individuals from the condition.

Sexual Health – Gonorrhea

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Health, Sexual Health, Sexual Problem

Sexual Health, which a person devoutly maintains with a good diet, proper hygiene, careful social contacts and regular Sexual performance, is always susceptible to subtly operating threats from, out in the open. Gonorrhea is a Sexually Transmitted Disease, caused by the bacterium Neisseria Gonorrhoeae. In the United States alone, it is estimated that over 700,000 persons are affected by Gonorrhea every year. On the outset, Gonorrhea is not dangerous, but if left untreated can affect major functions of the anatomy and induce life threatening complications.

Gonorrhea is spread through genital contact, i.e. the penis, vagina, mouth or the anus. The bacteria rest within warm openings, such as the cervix, uterus, fallopian tubes, urethra, anus, mouth, throat and eyes, and multiply in there. Gonorrhea exhibits symptoms such as burning sensations when urinating, itching, bleeding and abnormal discharge of fluids. Gonorrhea, when left untreated can cause serious medical conditions. Male testicles can get infected causing sterility. Women can develop Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, where reproductive organs can get negatively altered while conception and pregnancy. Severe longstanding Gonorrhea can affect the Blood, which can prove life threatening to the person. Presence of this condition also easily attracts the HIV virus, cause infection and speeds up transfer. A pregnant woman with Gonorrheal infection passes on to the infant, which stands at high risk for blindness or death.

Gonorrhea is easily detected by examination of urine sample and surface samples from the urethra, cervix, rectum or the throat. Gonorrhea is successfully treated by Healthcare with antibiotics. However, in cases of persons with multiple STDs, treatment can prove challenging, with combinations of different medications necessary and sometimes repeatedly. Persons positive with Gonorrhea, must be tested for other STDs. Medications have a curative effect on Gonorrhea, however for severe damages caused by this condition, separate courses of treatment must be followed. A treated person can however be later re-infected with Gonorrhea. Gonorrhea can be avoided with consistent use of Latex condoms and Sexual Health be maintained by practicing a long term monogamous relationship.

Sexual Health of an individual is at perpetual risk of being attacked by the many viruses, which cause discomfort, psychological distress and sometimes grave consequences to major and reproductive organs. Genital Herpes is a Sexually Transmitted Disease, caused by the viruses HSV-1 and HSV-2. This disease is very common in both men and women of ages 15 to 49 yrs, with about 16 percent of the United States population being affected and treated at any given time.

Genital Herpes is a harmless disease and shows in form of blisters and sores in and around the genitals and the rectum. These blisters and sores are generally recurrent, maintaining cycles of a few weeks or months. These outbreaks decrease with the months and sometimes in years. The sores of Genital Herpes look common and are often mistaken for insect bites or skin conditions. Other symptoms that accompany sores may include fever and swollen glands. Fully developed sores can be very painful and often upset normal life of the person, by causing emotional distress. Genital Herpes, as the category of the disease suggests, is transferred between people through sexual intercourse. Pregnant women with this condition, also run the risk of transferring the disease to the baby, although this is rare. People infected with Genital Herpes are very susceptible to the HIV virus.

Genital Herpes is clearly detected by examination of a sample from the sore, and in cases when sores are not present, a blood test may reveal the antibodies. There is no curative treatment for this condition, but preventive treatment for suppressing the sores and avoiding further transmission is provided by Healthcare. Persons affected with this virus and the others involved must also test for HIV. Sexual Health is not seriously affected by Genital Herpes, but if infected with this condition, Sexual intimacy must be abstained from, for as long as treatment is carried out. A common suggestion and instruction often heard and holds true about Sexual Health, is the benefit of a long term monogamous relationship.

Sexual Health of the person is perpetually threatened by dangerous bacteria of various kinds. The bacterium known as Treponema Pallidum is one such, which causes a Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) called Syphilis. Around 40,000 cases of Syphilis occur every year in the United States alone and affect both Men and Women. This condition affects Men mostly in their 30s and Women in their 20s. Over 300 cases of Congenital Syphilis are reported every year.

Syphilis is manifested in form of sores occurring in genital areas, such as the penis, vagina, anus and surrounding areas. Sometimes Syphilis sores do occur in the mouth and the lips as well. The Syphilis sore is round, firm, small in nature and is mostly painless. Syphilis is subtle, as in infection does take place and symptoms manifest only years later, however in these cases serious complications do arise. In the initial stage, Syphilis sores usually, following some discomfort disappear without treatment, but otherwise progresses to skin rashes and lesions. The areas of the body affected with rash appear rough and red with also reddish brown spots on the palms of the hand and soles of the feet. This is accompanied with fever, sore throat, hair loss, swollen lymph glands, headaches, muscle aches, weight loss and fatigue. Though, in the latent stage, most symptoms mentioned disappear, nevertheless Syphilis is present and affects internal organs of the body, such as blood vessels, nerves, brain, liver, bones and joints, have serious implications leading to critical conditions of health, and may even cause death.

Syphilis is diagnosed by detecting the presence of the bacteria, using a dark field microscope or through a blood test. Syphilis is treated with penicillin and antibiotic injections, however latent effects of Syphilis on bodily organs, can only be treated separately. Patients treated for Syphilis, must also test for HIV, along with their sexual partners. Patients can lead a normal social life and regain good Sexual Health, but must refrain from further sexual contact until completely healed of this condition.

Sexual Health – Bacterial Vaginosis

Posted by: admin  :  Category: General, Sexual Health, Sexual Problem

Sexual Health of the person, is the most invested hope by her, but sometimes remains controlled by undetermined factors which affect in subtle ways. Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) is an infection of the Vagina, occurring sometimes because of natural variations in the environment and at other times due to exposure to improper situations, which cause this minor disease.

BV is a condition in women, when the normal bacterial balance in the vagina is upset, causing hostile symptoms. The female vagina contains a mixture of both friendly and harmful bacteria. A proper balance of these two types of bacteria is naturally maintained in order to protect the state and functions of this sex organ. However, sometimes due to varying conditions of nature or due to bad Sexual Health, harmful bacterial content increases beyond measure and clinical symptoms begin to show. Presence of BV is indicated by primary symptoms, which may include white discharge from the vagina, pain in and around the area, bad odor, burning and itching. However, BV may pose other serious threats to the well being of the woman. Having BV may increase the risk of acquiring HIV, and faster transfer of the HIV virus to sex partners. BV may create complications during conceptions and pregnancy, and may result in premature birth of the baby. Sometimes, BV may induce Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID), which is improper positioning of the fertilized egg in the infected uterus and fallopian tubes. BV also increases the risk for other STDs, such as Chlamydia, HSV and Gonorrhea. Presence or development of BV has also been detected in patients who have undergone procedures such as abortion and hysterectomy.

Though BV in some cases is known to disappear on its own, must be treated to avoid the uncomfortable symptoms and further complications. Health Professionals are well equipped to successfully detect the presence of BV and treat it. BV is treated with antibiotics, with different dosages specific to the patient. Women with BV can lead a normal life and maintain good Sexual Health, with the help of medications and in following appropriate Sexual routines thereafter.

Sexual Health – Erectile Dysfunction in Men

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Sexual Health, Sexual Problem

Frequent routines of Sex bring both physiological and emotional benefits to Men and Women, especially in terms of Sexual Health. One of the most common Sexual problems complained by Men is occasional or chronic Erectile Dysfunction. Whether this is temporary or chronic, Erectile Dysfunction is a Sexual illness and must be treated by a Physician or a Sexologist. Persistence of untreated Erectile Dysfunction can upset Sexual Health altogether, causing emotional discouragement and social problems too.

Erectile Dysfunction is the inability to initiate an erection of the penis, or maintain it that way until the end of the sexual routine or until desired. Sometimes, this can extend to inability in having optimum orgasmic rhythms and ejaculation during sex. Causes of Erectile Dysfunction can be Physiological or Psychological. A reduced level in Testosterone or other hormones and enzymes is the primary cause of Erectile Dysfunction, and this rightly suggests that the condition persists in older men. Critical illnesses such as Heart disease, diabetes, renal failure, etc. generally have some secondary effect upon Sexual Health, including this condition. Damage of key blood vessels in or around the area of the groin or the penis can prevent proper blood flow which is essential for Erection. Prostate and urinary tract operations have some subtle effects on proper Sexual functioning. Psychological illnesses such as depression and anxiety have a direct effect upon Sexual Health, including Erectile Dysfunction. It is a known fact that side effects of most prescription drugs can cause this condition, especially those taken for critical and psychological illnesses. Common overwhelming events in social and personal life, which alter the emotional state of the Man, causing worry, stress, fear and anger for extended periods is the prime cause for temporary Erectile Dysfunction.

Erectile Dysfunction can be successfully treated and cured. Sexologists, Physicians and Palliative Healthcare professionals are equipped with methods of treating this condition, for its causes or by countering side effects of other critical medications taken. Research suggests that Men should regularly have Sex in order to avoid Erectile Dysfunction and maintain overall Sexual Health.

Sexual Health and Serious Illness

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Health, Sex Basics, Sexual Health, Sexual Problem

When someone has a serious illness, it can be difficult for them to show much interest in sex. Some of these people also have interest in sex, but they just cannot get their bodies to do what they want. In other words, they don’t have the strength of the ability to have sex, even if their mind is willing. They might also have to wait for clearance from their doctor so they can enjoy sexual activity again. If you find yourself in that situation, be patient. While sex is important to a lot of people, there are plenty of other pursuits that you can enjoy. Take up a hobby you can safely do and that will keep your mind occupied. Thinking about the sex you’re not having won’t help you feel better.

If your inability to have sex is temporary, you can look forward to the day when you’ll be able to enjoy it once again. If you’ve been told you’re simply not healthy enough to have sex – such can be the case with someone with a severe heart condition, for example – you’ll have to come to terms with the fact that part of your life is over. There are many other healthy ways to channel that energy, of course. If you feel depressed about the issue, seeing a counselor to talk about your feelings can be very beneficial. There are still people who think that seeking help is weak, but this is really not the case. It can help you find other pursuits that you can enjoy.

While sexual activity is a large part of life for some people, there are other people who choose to make it only a small part of their life – or they don’t have it in their life at all. These people, if a lack of sex is their choice, are generally happy and don’t have a problem with their lifestyle. They have plenty of other things in their life that keep them busy and fulfilled, and you can do things the same way, if serious illness ends your sex life.
